Similar to the common that's-the-way-the-apostles-interpreted-it-but-not-how-we-can explanation is this idea: The New Testament authors had divine inspiration. We don't. That may sound like the first explanation, but it has the element of NT-Divine-Authoring-interpreting-the-Divinely-Authored-OT. Is there a difference?
